Ever felt like you’re always living in a cube? Sometimes it can be a bit boring and claustrophobic, and quite frankly it’s just so conventional since buildings need walls. 

It’s great if you actually have windows in rooms to allow natural sunlight, but what if you don’t have windows? Okay, you could possibly knock down a bit of wall to put in the a window but what kind of view would you get, and it would probably be quite silly. 

A company called Skyfactory has invented a wonderful and creative way to give some light and a window to your room without you having to knock down anything! They provide illusions with virtual images for ceilings and walls that appear as if there is actually a view. In fact the virtual images have gotten to smart that they can change according to season and the time of day.

Who would have known that you could be so creative on creating a cup of noodles??? I mean talk about knowing how to make a boring cup of noodles sell! Thumbs up for their marketing team who took this to the public. The Japanese seem to love it! Honestly I would be curious if I saw it for myself.

When my imagination goes wild, I think of all these possibilities of… well basically anything. A few months ago, out of the blue I pictured a skyscraper in my mind. It wasn’t just any kind of skyscaper, in fact it looked quite organic. I imagined it slowly rotating as I questioned why buildings now had to be static. I suggested that the kinetic energy and perhaps even the friction would not be wasted since it could generate the electric/heat to the inhabitants.

Today was one of those days where I saw part of my mental image of that moving skyscraper turn into reality. As many of the more daring architects create concepts to build in Dubai, one of the architects, David Fisher from Italy had a similar vision. He’s proposing a rotating skyscraper with wind turbines for energy. Take a look at the concept below.

I have a passion for space, so finding out a company, who is dealing with everything to do with space, wants to possibly work together with the company I work at is completely exciting. Ah… the good ol’ discussion about macs vs. windows. They are like an old married couple, every argument is a means of love. Whenever you have something new from macs, you’re almost guaranteed to have microsoft following behind with something.

Macs have always inspired people with their innovative designs, but better yet I think Apple have successfully encouraged many to be creative in their own way. The following video will take you into a little tour of the Leopard operating system through a music video!

Some of you might or might not know about the show, Beauty and the Geek. Well, I’m writing a special blog entry about one of my ex-colleagues who incidentally was in Season 5 of the show in the US. To much of my surprise, Jim Babcock, was going to be in a reality show! The first thing I wished was a makeover for him.

As sincere as Jim is, I really thought he deserved a makeover. When I was working with him, I always told him to shave and cut his hair. And what do you know, he just happen to do it on public television! I’m really happy for him, and I hope he’ll stay grounded even though he’s probably got flocks of girls running after him. :p

Seeing is believing. You’ve probably seen monkeys paint, but ever seen an elephant paint? This you have to watch if you want to watch something truly unique. It’s really beyond words. If you hear people in the background keep on saying, “Oh my gosh… I can’t believe this…” well it’s all true. Take a look for yourself.

 I know it’s not the regular article, I usually post but being a fan of the NEW KIDS, I was in complete shock when I read it on the Metro today. Last year, I kept on saying it would be completely awesome to see the NEW KIDS since I never got the chance to see them live and in person. At the time, I was too young.
